Well, it is quite a challenging chunk of sound to deal with.  This will be my first submission too, if I am able to upload it successfully.  What I did, after a bit of a struggle myself, was to make the whole piece out of a small portion, about a 2-second fragment.  Maybe try that as a way to get more of a focus.  If not, there will be other projects, I'm sure.  But don't get discouraged.
