Hey,
 
I'm relatively new to the list, so I don't know if solicitations are
kosher material, but I Kim said it was OK so I thought I'd give it a go,
anyhow.  First, my name is Todd Burns and I run a small web-magazine at
www.stylusmagazine.com <http://www.stylusmagazine.com/>  that focuses on
independent music of all sorts, mostly.  My main area of interest,
however, is the experimental end of the spectrum, whether my own
personal review choices reflect it or not.  The website usually does
four music reviews per day of new music (that has been released in the
past year), a music article per week, and various profiles or artists
and labels, along with some various other ventures along the way.
 
In any case, we are in sore need of reliable writers to keep up the
writing pace that we have set for ourselves.  Unfortunately, we have had
to let some writers go due to their unreliability and others due to
their quality of writing.  While our mission statement reflects the fact
that we allow each reviewer on the site the chance to write about the
reviews that they may not agree with or support, we also attempt to
maintain a high level of writing- and that balance has to be kept in
check.
 
And that's where you, possibly, come in.  Stylus is now taking
applications for regular review writers or special features writers on
the site and we'd love to hear from any and all aspiring writers that
think they may have what it takes to become part of our team.  We are
always looking to branch out into new styles of music and would be very
interested in broadening our coverage to anything that you may be
interested in.
 
The catch?  We don't pay- except in promos after you've proven yourself
to be a reliable contributor.
