I didn't know that it was US versus paul oakenfold and dave matthews.
Granted, I don't have any music by either of them in my collection, but the
point is, I don't see why we should have to define microsound (if that's
what you mean by "US") as an adversarial opposite to whatever you have in
mind with oakenfold etc. I love loads of pop music, such as the new Blur
album, Fischerspooner's #1, and the latest Add N to X. The point being, I
don't see why we need to go for the old "I'm too cool to make money" or "I'm
so cool because I haven't sold out" or "I'm so cool because only 30 people
or less listen to my cd-r's."
