andrew, i think you are simply missing the point of
the matrix, the point being that it is really cool...

but seriously, i agree with you on blade runner, and
on the vangelis score, but also have to add that
that's probably the only good thing vangelis has
done...IMO.  

when i went to see the matrix, i was simply reminded
of times sitting around with stoned first year
philosophy students.  sort of like a "waking life" for
people who like guns and gratuitous ass shots.  and
the guy sitting next to me kept yelling out "you tell
him!" and "fuck yeah" after all the slick one-liners. 

all in all one of the most entertaining movie
experiences of my life.
