sorry this is so late, but I get the digest...
I just wanted to mention a couple things:
- I'm getting the buzz in the headphone jack when running off of
battery power only. It gets noticeably worse when using the AC. I've
tested it in various locations, and I get the same results no matter
where the PowerBook is, so it can't be outside interference caused by
other equipment in my studio setup, and since it happens on battery
power only, it's not a groundloop.
- Up until this point, I've been using a clamshell iBook for
recording and performing. The battery life in my iBook is down to
about 30 minutes, so for about the last year I've needed to have the
AC plugged in for nearly all of my performances, and never once have
experienced this issue--with battery power OR using the AC.
I think there must be a shielding problem with the internal design of
the new PowerBooks if nearly everyone is experiencing this same issue.
Thanks for all the input!
