The earliest recording of music in history

The recording alluded to in the subject is of Israel in Egypt (Handel):

It is labeled as "A chorus of 4000 voices recorded with phonograph over 100
yards away", at the Crystal Palace in London, June 29, 1888.
Pretty amazing stuff.
Maybe it could pass as a microsound track for a listener that is not aware
of the history behind the recording...
