I thought it was a design for a hardware/software interface which presumably
you could load your own samples into (basically a sequencer). But it would
be interesting to see the idea expanded to include sound generation and
modification as well. It would also be fun to see something like that built
as 6 sided cubes which you could arrange in space and build big musical
building-block structures. Even better would be modules shaped as pyramids
so you could build geodesic music.
At any rate I thought the idea looked really cool and it's probably capable
of a lot more than the video demo showed. I was wondering what it would be
like for kids to "jam" with those though. Would it be like playing with
other toys where the kid with the largest set of blocks would be able to
dominate the situation?
