i personally would feel that if i can only hear a recorded piece once it
would almost be pointless to hear it at all, i really
feel that you can not get the depths of a recorded composition by only
hearing it once, live performance is a completely different
situation, there is much more depth and dimension to live sound that gives
you a chance to feel, hear and enjoy the music in a way that is not possible
with recorded sound. so i really would never bother listening to something
that i couldnt return to to enjoy it again and again.

keep in mind that without documentation, there is no history.
