Re: [microsound] tech q's

The aesthetic and philosophic issues I am most drawn to involve process, ideas
for projects and more...I like the book chat archives...and the software notices.

But, I am tres interested in the psychology and/or contextualizing microsound.
We haven't had a thread on this for awhile. Initial reaction vs. after much more
exposure. "Tool fatigue" (haha) and volksmusik....good topics. I find
discussions of computer speaker systems [for example] relevant to the psychology
topic. Ditto a lot of the other "tools" topics. In addition, the quotes and
rants and threads having to do with topics like art...dada...Duchamp...etc. -
have yielded insights. The common tie of experimentalism brings many correlating
passions to the list. The lit discussions are good if tangential.

Restraint is shown on this list usually - Mea culpa re: politics. This list
also has served me in introducing me to musical friends and contacts. Stephen's
idea of posting more than a list of listening faves...to add
description/site/context - is a good one. Idea: everyone review a single piece
(or a choice of a few). Could be interesting. Another: (a project?) Two pieces,
one using the reverse process from the other.
