i agree with claudio, i personally am a snot-nosed purist when it comes to
my own work, i could never use a someone else's sounds in one of my
compositions unless it was for a specific project like the "parasites"
project.
on the other hand there are lot of people out there that are just getting
into "electronica" or "glitch" or whatever that may have no idea how to
generate the sounds they hear in this type of music, in these situations
loops discs can be a great starting point. you can take any loop from any
cheesy sample disc in the world and effect it enough so that it has become
something completely different.
