SV: [microsound] Net connections

I and some others from a Internet music collective known as tapegerm,
participated last year in an event named transcodecexpress that took
place in Austria. It was a "two day event for public experiments with
streaming and other network based communication, collaborations and
manipulation techniques" ( http://www.timesup.org/closing/TCE.pdf ) Most
of the participants where at the MediaDeck at the OK - Center for
Contemporary Art in Linz, Austria.

But some of us performed over the net.

I think that we were about 8 people who performed live thru a shoutcast
server. It was the easiest and fastest way to get started. It worked
great. But you cant sync the shoutcast mp3 stream.=20

Has anyone ever performed live where the various performers are located
in
different countries, connected or synced via the Internet / broadband?
Or
any other type of similar projects?

I'd like to know of experiences, problems and methods of doing projects
like
this.

Much appreciated
