Hal Foster's writings about minimalism in "The Anti-Aesthetic..." and
"The Return of the Real..." are excellent.  He spoke a few years ago at
the School of the Art Institute regarding the failed intentions of the
minimalist artists with great detail and passion.  Highly recommended.
