i wanted to let everyone who responded to my domain hosting query 
that i went with:

my criterion for choosing was mostly due to reliability (this one was 
referred to me by two people and one webhosting review site); as well 
as the 800mb of storage; ftp ability; cgi, php, and mysql; plus, they 
charged $6.95 a month if you signed up for 2 years.
