Re: [microsound] Particlechamber
hey Ross,
Five easy steps to Particlechamber:
1) Install PD: http://www.pure-data.org/downloads/
2) Install freeverb~. On a PC [which I think you use, remembering you
from the Audiomulch list], download the .dll and put it in $/pd/extra/
[where $ is the path to PD... this depends on your installer]:
http://www.akustische-kunst.org/puredata/main.html
3) Install Grid. [In your case, put the .dll in the same place as
freeverb~]: http://ydegoyon.free.fr/software.html
4) Download and unzip Particlechamber.zip. Doesn't really matter where.
5) Open PD and then:
File--->Open--->"$pathto"/particlechamber/particlechamber.pd
Note: for MacOSX, there is also an installer for Pure Data which should
put everything in the right place. The only difference from the above
instructions would be that you would download the OSX binaries instead
of the Win32 .dll files. However, depending on your version of OSX, you
may have to compile both of these externals yourself. If that is the
case, download the sources of these externals, check their README or
INSTALL files, try your best ;-) and post to the PD list if you have
further questions [see below].
If you need more assistance than the above, I highly recommend you check
the archives of the PD list. If that doesn't answer your question,
please post a query to the PD list, and you will have help before the
next sun rises:

Good luck + enjoy!
