Re: [microsound] re: 7econds - new microsound project



this may seem a bit obvious but what about that game show 'name that tune.'
always interesting to hear the minimum amount of sonic information required to
instigate signification... as much as i despise game shows. ..

once again i'm also reminded of akufen, where the pilfered genre becomes
instantly obvious but the actual source material is not. you can hear the
clichés and conventions - production, harmonic, or otherwise - within a
fraction of a second without any knowledge of what the actual specific source
material is... the new kid606 is great for this as well, although it's more
'weird al' yankovic meets squarepusher.
