[microsound] Re: self promotion

Hi Phil and all. This complaint is an old and reoccuring one and is
usually based upon uninformed notions of what this list group is
"supposed" to be about. I have been a member of this group for several
years now and I still heave a huge sigh when I see someone whining about
how this group "has too much self promotion". All I can say is KEEP THE
SELF_PROMOTIONS COMING ! Shameless or otherwise.  ;-)  As long as they
are pertinent to this groups focus, it is totally acceptable.

People complain about the "corporate music industry" and yet they also
complain when independent and underground music does what it can to
survive by using whatever means available and/or affordable to circumvent
"the system". 
As I've said many times before, if you don't like what this list serv is
about, then start your own and stop trying to convince this list to be
otherwise.
