Ami Yoshida is an amazing vocalist whose sound is very much in the 
microsound arena.  She usually works in a duo called Cosmos with 
Sachiko M on sine waves and contact microphones, but she has a solo 
album on Improvised Music from Japan.  The recent Erstwhile box set 
Amplify has a DVD with a live Cosmos set where you can see her in
