hey dennis. there are few cool places here, even less on the microsound
area. you'll find tons of cd shops in two galleries downtown. they're on rua
24 de maio. you may check my label on the link below and search for
national. they're amazing. regarding venues, you may check ampgalaxy
(www.ampgalaxy.com.br), d-edge (rua olga, 170) and lov.e (rua pequetita,
189). sao paulo is not less violent than any huge city. hope you enjoy your
time here. actually, i'll be playing on the 24th, if you're interested in a
bit of distorted folk music (jive, alameda barros, 376). and on the 25th,
we'll be celebrating 450 years of sao paulo. probably lots of things to do.
