Re: [microsound] telephone numeric keypad tones?



While we're on the topic.  Back in 2000, I analyzed
the DTMF scheme as frequency ratios and used them to
build harmonies on top of vocal formants.  I made a
one minute little pop loop out of it at the time for
fun.  :)

I've always liked the DTMF timbre.  Here's the matrix:

         1209 Hz  1336 Hz   1477 Hz
697 Hz   1	       2 	       3
770 Hz  	4 	      5 	       6
852 Hz  	7 	      8 	       9
941 Hz  	* 	      0 	       #


also, csound can be used as an automatic speed dialer.
