graduated from Keio Univ, SFC/JAPAN in 2002, where she studied
computing culture and sound design with Christopher Penrose, as well as
“environmental information” through an interdisciplinary approach.
Sawako has performed live in London, Paris, and Tokyo. Her music
encompasses both deep contemplation and an arbitrary randomness without
intention, incorporating field recordings, digitally sculpted sounds,
feedback, and silence. Recently, her sound work has been featured on
the critically acclaimed 2CD compilation Two Point Two released by the
Brooklyn, New York based 12k/LINE labels.

TWINE [ BALTIMORE - Ghostly International / Bip-Hop ]
Baltimore, Maryland's Greg Malcolm and Boulder, Colorado's Chad
Mossholder comprise a unique musical entity. Twine is the culmination
of their extended history, which includes their acclaimed 2002 LP
Recorder for France's Bip-Hop and their distinguished catalogue for
Chicago's Hefty Records and Sweden's Komplott. Their sound contains a
mysterious and unresolved quality, the result of the musical
relationship which the group's two practitioners share. Songs become
experimentations in the virtual realm, with files bounced back and
forth across time zones and singular ideas becoming collaborative. For
this Baltimore appearance, local Greg Malcolm will give a solo audio
performance of new and unreleased material.
