Sonic Network Analysis :
documenting and reinterpreting zones of critique and escape

A multi-stage net.exhibition and live performance
and hub of Version>04 : invisibleNetworks [ http://www.versionfest.org ]

+++

[1] Project Description

In cooperation with Version>04 : invisibleNetworks, a conference and
festival taking place April 16 - May 1 2004, Stasisfield will present a
multi-stage net.exhibition with live performance, Sonic Network Analysis.

The first stage of the exhibition will gather documentary materials which
capture the sounds and sights of local zones of activity and flux, a
concise audiovisual record of pockets of activity reaching out for
connections: art galleries, cafés, classrooms, performance spaces, places
of worship, protests -- anywhere groups of people commune to critique or
escape an increasingly chaotic world.

This source material will be presented as Stage 1 of the exhibition on
March 15, 2004, along with a second call for submissions for Stage 2.

Stage 2 will be added to the net.exhibition upon commencement of Version>04
on April 16, 2004.

Stage 3 will consist of a live performance at Klein Art Works gallery in
Chicago [ http://www.kleinartworks.com ] on April 17, 2004, using the audio
and visual source material from the net.exhibition.
