Re: [microsound] p2p is not killing the music business



Have to disagree with this... Been using p2p for gathering material relating
to my MA project at the moment. Takes a little time to refine searches, but
I've found music by Cage, Pierre Schaffer, Stockhausen, also Mouse on Mars,
Autechre etc. that is hard to come by on disc. S'pose by the standards of
this list these artists are mainstream, but for me this was the equivalent
of borrowing a book from the university library and certainly not a
replacement for buying the albums.

PS. I am way too old for my mum to be paying for my internet connection :-)
