I use mostly freeware...donate to the developers when I have
money....buy the very odd bit of gear...run a shitty laptop/well not so
much shitty as just woefully underpowered...but I make things that I
like....you can go forever getting the latest this or that...which is
cool/but if u can't afford it or don't want to keep chasing the latest
thing then don't....some of the greatest music in the world was made
with and recorded on equipment that most people would laugh at these
days...and it still stands up...
