I'm putting together an event, Interchange 2, for June 11 here in Los Angeles. An evening of interactive sound/music/video - both performance and installation. This is the second Interchange, the first was in September.

Features several of the people whose names have been tossed about in this thread, as well others:
Akira Rabelais
Rise Industries (Jeremy Quinn & Michele Jaquis)
Adam Overton
David Kendall
Liam Mooney
D. Jean Hester
Civyiu Kkliu
More Artists to be announced...

You can find some early info here: http://www.divestudio.org/interchange2/index.php

As well as info about the first Interchange here: http://www.divestudio.org/interchange/index.php

Stay tuned for more detailed info as we get closer to the date...

LA seems pretty hopping!

Have you found Glenn Bach at UCSB? He hosts a series in Long Beach -- I
think it's still going on -- called 'Quiet' out of his living room.

Steve Roden, j.frede, Mitchell Brown aka Prof. Paramecium, Leticia
Castaneda, Dan Abrams, Akira Rabelais, all live in LA. Albert Ortega
attends CalArts.

Yes, L.A. is definitely hopping. Actually, I'm at Cal State Long Beach, and "Quiet" is on indefinite hiatus after my wife and I gave up our big, lofty space for a small one bedroom.

But there are plenty of other things going on. Just off the top of my head (sorry if I forget anyone), adding to Aaron's list: Clay Chaplin, Liam Mooney, Noah Thomas . . . and some websites:
