[microsound] Re: On promo : solutions?

pardon the intrusion,
but this thread is becoming ridiculous.

this list gets more noise by the means of untrimmed quotes
at the foot of one-liners
than by "promotion" of releases or live shows.

to be honest:

i always promote here and elsewhere
the little releases i'm able to put out,
'cos there's actually people that might be interested
in knowing about it.

i'm on this list since years,
i scarcely have the time to actively participate in discussions,
i never ever open a playlist message,
scarcely do so with gigs one,
always read the releases one
since i perceive *sound* to be one of the focus
of micro*sound* list.

i really can't understand complaints about
the overabundance of the such:
is the function of a "delete" button difficult to master?
is a killfile/mail rule more difficult to write
than a dsp patch?

low signal to noise ratio is not a priviledged status
of this list, but merely an embedded trademark
of the world we live in.
just as you don't go out in the streets screaming:
"stop it! stop it! can't get my signal, damn! stop it!"
please refrain to do so here and elsewhere,
'cos it's adding to the noise, really,
and it's not kind at all.

an attunement of senses might prove
essential to human and cultural survival.

regards,
p

and, p.s.:
last two paragraphs were addressed
to nobody in particular.
