[microsound] [OT] live performance tips

i need to buy some gear to play my music live. could someone recommend me
cheap equipment to pre-record wavs or soundfonts that i create on computer
and then to trigger the samples in a live performance? it could be a laptop
if i could find someone as well cheap. please respond me off-list.
