framework - phonography/field recording; contextual and decontextualized sound activity

we featured a new australian label concentrating on environmental recording, naturestrip, in this edition, who have opened their catalogue with two beautiful discs - a compilation featuring toshiya tsunoda, joel stern, tarab and lawrence english along with a debut solo disc from tarab. very nice delicate acoustic manipulations, definitely worth checking out. we also heard works by our old favorite joe colley, a new mp3 release by raemus, some rare framework comic relief in form of another media collage from josh dippold and some found radio-sound composition from miu. all this followed a framework introduction recorded in the toilet by one of the purveyors of drone records...
another quick breakdown of upcoming plans: coming in the next few weeks will be a visit and some exclusive material from m.behrens. and on the 25th of june framework will be participating in a week of events here in london (including concerts, films, installations, lectures, meals and radio broadcasts) by the great hafler trio. the show (and others that week on resonancefm) will be dedicated entirely to specially produced material, tying in with all the other events. please see the h3o website for more info: http://www.brainwashed.com/h3o/Live/horsey-horsey/
