hola!

i use a dell centrino wit the echo dj have done a few live gigs as well 
as production work, and it has been sweeet. i use a d600 - be warned the 
d500 has some issues with m-audio, i reckon it's to do with the 
integrated video memory, the d600 has a dedicated graphics chip, takes a 
lot of the load off. the power last upto 3 hours live, on battery, seems 
most laptops have issues with earthing noises, i think it can be 
remedied by removing the earth (at your own risk), but in reality are 
you gonna play a 3 hour set? it's hard enough to really concentrate for 
more than an hour (that's why school lessons only really last 45 mins - 
i mean most people can only concentrate fro 15mins - but i ramble on) 
any way hope this helps i have to go back to work.
