[microsound] more on radio
in the realm of terrestrial radio, I happen to host a
weekly radio show on KALX (fridays, 3-6 pm pacific,
streaming from http://kalx.berkeley.edu) and would
vouch for KALX as a friendly receptive place to
"service" with releases (physical cds and records that
is). I am not the only dj there who would be receptive
to your work, and once added to the KALX library it
never leaves (we're approaching 80,000 lps, cds, 7"s).
KALX also has a weekly "experimental noise"
prorgam-"Information Overload (which I host
1-2/month), Weds, 11:59 pm-1am which would be another
good outlet for y'all.
If you care to, releases can be sent to
KALX Berkeley
University of California
26 Barrows Hall
Berkeley CA
94720
if you put attn: steve polta or E. Rodney Jones (my
air name), I'll get to "review" the thing before it
enters the library...
*end of pitch*
(oh-if anyone actually were to tune the friday show,
they would hear a lot of different things-heavy metal,
Joni Mitchell, John Fahey, etc, in addition to
"microsound"...(be warned)
