this is an off-topic question, but does anyone out there know whether it's possible to superimpose an image on top of another using simple downloadable software or plugins?

i use irfanview and i am wondering if it's possible to recreate the effect one encounters, for example, when one looks through a window and can see through the window and one's own reflection simultaneously.
