hi sarah,
have you tried photoshop using layers?
you can always use the blend layer command and also you can dim the
layer to obtain the reflection effect.
then in order to use the image in other apps you should flatten the
image [in the layers options] and save it with whatever extension you
want! [.tif, .jpg, .gif, etc...]
for a better effect you can play with one of the images making it a
little bit out of focus by applying the blur filter .
