Re: [microsound] General History of Computing



there's a great illustrated one called 'computers: an illustrated history' by
christian wurster out on taschen. great pictures of all the old computers
from the ENIAC up. there's some great ads from the sixties too, of all these
beehive haircut models posing sexily around various mainframes. i really love
the design and colour schemes of the old IBM 360s and what not. i'd love a
cray in my place as a sofa. i always wanted to do a bar that had that whole
cray aesthetic... wonder if you can buy 'em on ebay...
