Carly Ptak and Twig Harper of Baltimore form the noise duo of Nautical
Almanac. With a recent release on Load Records, ?Rooting for the Microbes?,
NA are quickly gaining much attention for their work with custom equipment
made of weird alloys of plastic, leather, wire, and rubber, and improvising
performances often involving gagging techniques. Carly and Twig also run a
record label Heresee, which covers noise and pure sound artists.

Ven Voisey (v.v.) is a sound and installation artist currently residing in
North Adams, MA. Voisey creates meticulously crafted sound events, utilizing
a drastic dynamic range of hisses, crackles, and tonal hums, as well as
field recordings, electronics, and acoustic instruments. Recordings of his
audio work are available on Crank Satori/CIP, Aesova, and Naninani.
Anne Doerner is a multi-instrumentalist also currently residing in North
Adams, MA. She was born in
Cumberland Maryland, and trained as a classical pianist starting at the age
of three. She has since picked up several other instruments (guitar, fiddle,
banjo), traveled and performed street music throughout southern Europe, in
the U.S. with various southern Appellation and Cajun bands, and most
recently with The Books, and Rube Waddell.

Ting Ting Jahe is Ben Scott, Tommy Birchett who organizes richmonds
www.broadcastatic.com and Brooklyn, NY resident Ben Owen who organizes with
Free103point9 in Brookyln. Ting Ting Jahe?s sound is based on recylcing live
audio from previous performances, found sound, dissected turn tables and
needles, laptop improvisation, etc.
Caution Curves
Washington DC laptop/Voice duo of Rebecca Mills and Tristana Fiscella, think
otherwordly vocals over
textured electronic soundscapes culled from laptop electronics.
