kind of thing here). Anyway, enlighten me to what it
is that is really bothering you about CD-rs.

There are a few things wrong with CDRs. First and formost on my mind is that they are HIGHLY susceptible to disc rot. Another is that the manufacturing standards for CDrs are ALL over the map and i hate to see a cdr i buy from an interesting artist be a crappy maxell because it WILL fall apart. Another thing that is diffetrent about pressed cds is the extra layer of plastic protecting the cd from scratches and other damage (i.e. - when i cd gets scratched, generally speaking you have enough xtra plastic to sand the scratch out, not so with most cdrs - they are just completely ruined).

Another thing is that what is wrong with a little
filter in place, a little monetary obstacle involved
in printing up some cds? If it cost me a hundred to
throw fifty together or just under a thousand to make
500, which do you think I am going to make sure are
the absolute best quality music i can come up with?
Too much of what I hear on CDRs is "here, this is what
I did last week, I'll have another one in a couple of
weeks." I'd rather you wait, hone your skills and blow
my over with that final collection you staked your
months wages on.
