Re: [microsound] pixels per minute?

I recently ran into the freeware BitmapPlayer (www.webcenter.ru/~vsoft/BitmapPlayer.htm). It offers some nice ways to mangle sound, convert audio to image, image to audio and much more. Very interesting to have some piece of sound, convert it into an image, process it with some graphic effects (for example in Gimp) and then convert back to wav and listen to the result.

all the sound is synthesized from images based on pixel luminance and colouring...

go to http://www.uisoftware.com/PAGES/ where you can download the demo...

i find it very very useful for mangling sound and understanding as well.
