Re: [microsound] 7" vinyl (semi-OT)

more about the hardcore 7 inches please? do you mean techno or
industrial or both? might be a venue i go down, if it's mixable into a
Dj set along with the rest. how many minutes per side?

still not knowing how and if i should ever put out vinyl... how
important is this still? some part of me just wants to play live, all
original material, and release nothing on record, except for a proper CD
album when it's said in done, or a live album on CD... i mean i have
these great bangin' 15 minute über-dark techno tracks (dave the dummer
stylz) that should be played out by DJs but i'm afraid to risk the
money... why would they even bother listening to me in the first place
without marketing or a reputation or a label? it seems a waste for
literally hundreds of hours of music i've never release that i think,
someone, even just one person, might dig... it's hard to invite everyone
over to my place to listen - which is what's been doing. maybe the
best bet is just put up a basic website and let people download for
free? and then move to vinyl... without any label backing or financial
assistance... murphy's law'll make sure it's all nothing, knowing my
luck... any tips here on formats? i mean CD would be ideal, but i'd want
my stuff played out. it's not all bleeps and burps... i have my hard
detroit evil 140bpm side that i think many would dig... just dunno how
to do it and in a dog eat dog musical climate, despite what the aqarians
will tell you, nobody wants to offer solid advice... so... they sit on
my hard drive, awaiting the inevitable and irreparable disk error
that'll wipe this music from existence before i can figure out if i'm
not alone in my mishmash of digital nonsense... and we're not even
talking the experimental stuff here...that - i have no clue how to sell.

sad saturday,
