Re: [microsound] Yet another 2004 stimuli list

Oh why not delurk on this wonderful list to post a year end bestthingy..
Thirteen 2004 inspirations. Doesn?t mean they *all* CAME from 2004, just
that they figured significantly in my consciousness and work this year:

Jennifer Reeder?s ?Tiny Plastic Rainbow? (video feature)

Harrell Fletcher show at New Langton Arts (video/photo/audio/misc)

James Baldwin (text)

Emusic.com (actually reasonable subscription music site)

All the free AU/VST and FCP plugins sitting on my powerbook.

My students at SFAI and FAF (and their work)

John Hudak (audio)

Janet Cardiff (audio/video/inst)

The SY77 AFM synth that refuses to die

Hearing Infrasound?s (Scott Arford/Randy Yau) building-shaking sound check
bleeding from next door as I tried to teach a class in the subtler points
of audio mixing. (sadly I couldn?t see the show)

Jun Jalbuena ? (video)

Slime Molds: Plant or Animal? (educational film unearthed and shown by the
wonderful Julie Murray at SF Cinematheque)

Neuromixer (ok, mostly because it?s free, but still)
