Re: [microsound] new autechre

i think its silly..

the files are encoded mono with a variable bit rate.. imho useless for
any 'serious' listening.. since they are missing so much of the
original tracks.. decent for a preview tho..

bleep seems to run off a system developed by kleber
(http://www.kleber.net/) and warp purchased a copy (or possibly
funding initial development?).. although this is just from reading and
browsing.. so i may be wrong..

its run on a few labels it seems.. so the limit is probably a
'feature' of the system of which they had minimal control, or didn't
bother to dispute..

still cool tho, i think warps got the sweetest online music service around

on a kindof ontopic note, this is a quote i find hillarious from a
review of autechre album .. although ofcourse i do not agree with it..

"This is music that would be appreciated in a half-empty, smoky room
by the sort of bearded, socially deficient males who would nod their
heads enthusiastically at the sound of a broken tractor. "
