The borders between irony and insulting somone could be very small, a
simple smiley could have made it clear.
I think there was not a lack of sense of irony, the comment could have 
been possibly misunderstood for the simple reason that it was the first 
reply to a question which expressed a demand for a serious answer.

It was also not about telling you, that you're actually attacking 
somebody, its more ment as a protection for someone who could possibly 
understand this as an attack. In this regard the community does function 
pretty well.

Actually all answers to your comment could also be seen as ironic
answers ;-)

But seriously, thanks for clarifying...

Lets laugh a bit about it and go on jammin'
