[microsound] Event Modelling
I was reading this
http://www.cycling74.com/community/cascone.html
& was particularly interested in this.
(Quote Cascone)
"I'm really interested in behaviours. I'm not all that interested in DSP.
What I am interested in is imparting behaviour to the playing back of wave
files. We did something similar at Staccato called the event modelling. We
essentially modeled a lot of natural type behaviours like explosions, car
crashes, ambiences, through either random generation of waveforms or a
stochastic envelope of density."
However the link to Staccato seems to be some sort of home shopping site....
http://www.staccatosys.com/welcome/index.html
Can i find out more info about this subject Kim is discussing (read "as much
as possible") from Kim or anyone else who knows?
thanks...
