RE: [microsound] studio monitors
I have a pair of the tanoy reveals (red)
Their powered by a Panasonic 400 watt amp (bout 10yrs old!!!)
I use them for my Ableton / Mac set up...they sound wicked (at closer range)
but may be arent the best for mix downs..

the mackies might be a bit to expensive for me though (around 2500$ here in
denmark).
