[microsound] re: Possibly obvious question re mBox/ProTools

I don't use that hardware but I've had similar things happen when I setup the OSX Sound control panel to use 
non-built in audio hardware for the system's sound and then I run an app that wants to configure that same 
hardware itself rather than use OSX to configure the sound. I'd definitely try setting "System Preferences > 
Sound" to use your built in hardware freeing up the mbox for protools to configure and see if that solves things.
