[microsound] Possibly obvious question re mBox/ProTools

I'm having a problem getting ProTools to work on a Mac Mini (OS-X 
10.4.3). I did a new install from the ProTools disk that came with 
the mBox, but when I try to launch the app, I get an error message 
(-1133) that says "Digidesign hardware is in use by another 
application". Of course, I have no other apps running. Does anybody 
know wassup with that? Am I doing/not doing something clueless or is 
my Mac simply lying to me? I'd sure appreciate a clue.
