Re: [microsound] Adorno turns in his grave

You have an excelent point . Freedom of choice of music consumers in migrating to peer-to-peer , does not a free-market means.

Yet , it will eventualy define inevitably a new market for music , one on which (IMHO) everyone will acquire more music , for a lot less money.

Let Adorno rest peacefully in his grave ,then.

depends what you mean by 'free market'.

the vast majority of the peer to peer scene is not a capitalist
market, as there is no currency exchange [music for money]. in most
contexts, 'free market' refers to unbridled capitalism. so i have to
disagree that the rise of peer to peer file sharing networks is the
'free market' at work.

i think it is something else that is rising.

Muchas banderas rojas para usted.
