i would say that the list is evidence of an opening
(of ideas, resources, technology) to other levels of
social existence, given that the people on those
levels have sufficient curiosity to explore
alternative to their own ways of being--

the degree to which we are an open society is the
degree to which we keep a certain ideal that
information should be shared---because ignorance leads
to avoidable tragedy--

the (f)law of being human is that we dont always
operate out of our own best interests (we are
secretive, posssessive, greedy etc.)--  but when we
accept and enjoy these obsessive-compulsive traits (or
give them utterly free reign) often we begin to cause
suffering in other people

i see very clearly where doors to information being
closed can cause suffering (it doent not only mean
physical pain!) and that there are keys to offer
people, to give them not the answer but the space to
think. even out loud and in controversy
