i was talking with a friend and they were proposing that the israeli
model of religious government is what's being implemented here.
although instead of using judaism as the state religion, it would be
christianity in the usa.

for myself, i think of it as a police state- since fascism is so over
used as to be rendered meaningless. also, 'police state' emphasizes
the military dimention of the authoritarian government, where fascism
has racial or political overtones.
