JB, R.I.P. I enjoyed reading your writings a lot.
.....but I really wonder what did he have on his mind when he stated that the
90s suffered from "strike of happenings", in his introduction of "Spirit of
terrorism"; that the genocides in Ruanda and Bosnia-Hercegovina weren't the
happenings strong enough to compare with 9/11??? He might've spoken for
himself.

And then, a week ago, the International War Crime Court in The Hague
declared that Serbian state was found not guilty for the genocide in
Srebrenica. it turns out that JB was right, that the Srebrenica case belongs
to 'strike'. but, what if ol' J.B. had the privilege of listening to Scott
Walker? He provided me with the satisfaction I never had from the 'great
provocateur'. it is all nicely said on "The Drift", in "Jesse" and "Cossacks
Are". Less explicit, but more profound.
