This news hit me particularly hard today. Both because of the role  
Baudrillard's work has played in my own thinking, and more  
immediately in that I was looking forward to attending a seminar with  
him in less than a month from now.

I would be curious to hear from sonic practitioners who have been  
influenced in some way by Baudrillard. How can we situate his  
thinking to the interests of this list?
