yes use Apples built in... but just use "text edit" the built in
text editor for mac... there is a command under the Edit menu...
"Speech: Start Speaking". It reads whatever is in the file.
Then use Soundflower (free on the Cycling74 website.)
Route it to whatever your recording app is.

terminal with shell.
unfortunately i haven't found a way to record that without a multi
i/o soudcard, soundflower and jack don't work with simple terminal
commands.
