Re: [microsound] advice on recording devices?
Hi,
I have the H4 and use it with binaural mikes, but the noise floor is pretty
hingh. Once you find a decent filter setting you can get rid of most of it.
Plus its cool to have two XLR ins. There's no 3.5mm in, however, whicht is a
drag when working with binaurals.
In the meantime I have also had the chance to record with a H2, and the quad
mikes are pretty good for the size and price. Less noise than on the H4 i'd
guess, plus it's got a 3.5mm-In.
Since I do most of my recording with a laptop and interface anyway I'd swap
my H4 for the H2 any day.
Good luck!
Tobias
